Panera Bread 

West Broad Construction completed a comprehensive two-level renovation and restaurant build-out for Panera Bread in Stamford, Connecticut. Delivered over six months in 2024, the project began with the complete demolition of the existing space, followed by the full reconstruction of the first floor and basement.

The scope included extensive roofing and exterior improvements, a new storefront façade, glass panels, windows, doors, sidewalks, curbs, patios, exterior lighting, and signage. Inside, the team installed new plumbing, electrical, carpentry, millwork, fire alarm, sprinkler, and rooftop HVAC systems, along with the infrastructure required for a fully operational commercial kitchen.

The basement was converted into a dedicated food preparation and storage area featuring a walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer, commercial preparation equipment, epoxy flooring, a grease-trap vault, and a dumbwaiter connecting the basement to the main restaurant level.

 

West Broad Construction managed the project through final finishes, kitchen equipment installation, furniture, signage, commissioning, building permits, Health Department approvals, final inspections, and the restaurant’s successful opening.
